Question: Should the stylus be replaced on an old cartridge (whatever the brand is) ?
Answer: It will play but, you will not benefit all the improvements made over the years to the "bodies".
The diamond represents a large part of a phono cartridge cost and, if the cartridge is old, it might be better to replace the whole cartrige in order to have the best sound.
Reference and Statement Series cartridges, with a wood body do not have a replaceable stylus.
